Process 1678

Process 1678 is a prototype of a historical computer game inspired by titles such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Assassin’s Creed, Shadows over Silesia, and others. The game aims to depict the witch trials in Northern Moravia at the end of the 17th century through an engaging story based on real historical events.

The first level begins in the year 1678 in the peaceful village of Sobotín. As part of this level, the local Church of St. Lawrence has been reconstructed based on historical sources to resemble how it may have looked at that time. The surroundings of the church connect to a traditional rural setting with elements of folk architecture.

In the game, the player has the opportunity to experience the witch hunt firsthand in the role of a young girl. She can take notes in her diary, which will help her solve various difficult tasks. She will encounter real historical figures involved in the witch trials, who will gradually guide her through the story. During interactive dialogues, the player can choose how the story unfolds. Perhaps, in the end, she will succeed in reversing this great tragedy.
